It’s all about the raw material clay on the premises of the Schaddelmühle. In the early 1970s visual artists moved into the former water mill in the village of Schaddel. They built workshops, studios, seminar and guest rooms. The numerous ceramic sculptures on the premises are a testimonial to the creativity of several generations of artists.
Today the workshops and classrooms are available for school and recreational projects, art workshops and creative offers. The exhibition rooms and accommodations complete the offer. Curious visitors are also welcome to look, marvel, discover and just feel comfortable. The potter’s clay required in the workshops is produced in a small clay processing plant on the Schaddelmühle premises from local deposits.
